Diesel Tank and Fuel Tanks Repairs

In order to repair poly (or plastic) fuel tanks we utilise plastic welding.

Plastic welding is unequivocally the best way to repair poly fuel tanks, bar none.

There are no glues available that actually work on polypropylene(PP) or polyethylene(HDPE, LDPE; which are primariliy used for tanks, due to its chemical stability) effectivly enough, as petrol and diesel tends to eat through other plastics, especially when combined with heat.

Plastic welding works very similarly to metal welding, and works to fuse the plastic together making a homogenoues weld using the same material as the tank itself. We also use a few other tricks to help further reinforce our welds to prevent future touble, so you can go back to not worrying about your fuel tank, and get back to work quickly without the 3 week wait for it to be delivers from overseas.

It is common poly fuel tanks in tractors and heavy machinery to get damaged from time to time for various reasons, such as being pierced by sticks out in the paddock, or maybe you've driven a hay spike into your transfer tank, whatever the case it, if its made out of plastic, we can repair it.

Tractor tanks for example can cost around $2000 to replace and if your supplier doesn't have a spare in stock then you might need to wait around 3 weeks for it to be delivered befroe you can use your tractor again. Having plastic welded professionally can get your tank back into working order at a fraction of the cost of replacement, disposal and refitting etc.

We are passionate about repairing poly/plastic tanks as the last thing we want to see is it needlessly ending up in landfill, especially when a complete and durable repair is such an achievable outcome, and far cheaper than the alternative which is to replace them.
